Service
The Veterans'/Remembrance Day service held at the Chapala Cemetery was well attended and included a good delegation of sharp looking members from 904 Wing in uniform. The service was brief and touching. Edward Ramotowski, Consul General of the United States in Guadalajara, gave the keynote address at the service and included in his remarks greetings from Kathryn Aleong, Canadian Consul in Guadalajara. Several Wing members attended the service and "Pig Roast" at the American Legion Post #7 in Chapala following the service at the cemetery.

Mexico in WWII
Wing members enjoyed a special educational presentation on Saturday, October 13th at La Nueva Posada. Wing member Dr. Jose Manuel Cordova Cervantes and Colonel Guillerma Quintero Amador described Mexico's role in WWII. Their superb power point presentation explained the reasons for Mexico's entrance into the War as well as the participation of the Mexican Air Force in the Philippian theatre of operations. President Mario Okunsky presented a membership certificate to Manuel and a special social membership to Colonel Quintero at the conclusion of their presentation. "Good Show." to Dr. Jose Manuel Cordova Cervantes for his idea and the hard work he put into the organization of this unique presentation

Following the presentation many of our members, our guest speakers and their families, stayed for dinner at La Nueva Posada.

Prayer Shawl
Prayer Shawl Ann Goodwin made the beautiful roundel Prayer Shawl shown here for 904 Wing member Jack Girard earlier this year. Jack found comfort from the shawl during his illness. Jack died of cancer on 9 August. After Jack passed away his wife, Marielle Godin, has continued to find the shawl a great comfort.

Wing members extend sincere thanks to Ann for her loving gesture in making the roundel prayer shawl for Jack and Marielle.
